A love letter to Vietnam
I arrived in Hanoi in 2006 for a personal project on the victims of Agent Orange, and I never left. Vietnam became my home and the place that shaped how I see and how I tell stories. Over the years my work here has run in The New York Times, National Geographic, the BBC, CNN, TIME, and The Guardian.
As Above So Below is my way of giving something back.
Aerial and ground, paired
The project photographs each place twice: once from above, once from the ground. Set side by side as diptychs, the two frames hold portrait, fine art, and documentary work in a single view and show the country from two heights at once. I am shooting it across Vietnam's best-known destinations and its quieter corners.
A gift, free to use
Rather than lock these images away, I am making the full collection free for personal and commercial use, a gift to Vietnam and its people. The work will travel as an exhibition and become a photography book. Prints are also available through my online store.
